INNOVATION. IMPACT. ASSURANCE.

As a Service-disabled veteran-owned business, Wingbrace knows exactly why innovation is nothing without impact. Every mission, every deployment, every theater.

EXPERIENCE + TECHNOLOGY = BETTER OUTCOMES

Experience is not overrated. We’re not only military veterans, we’re technology veterans – hundreds of successful deliveries for government and commercial clients in difficult situations. Wingbrace has decades of knowledge to help you get to success. We’re what you need – future focused with the knowledge of what went before.

CONTEXT = WE KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN AND WHY

Context – it’s what’s missing in many government technology projects. Context is continually asking “what am I doing to achieve the objectives of the client – while being aware of the factors affecting their lives and mission.” At Wingbrace, speaking your language isn’t a heavy lift – it’s what we do.

YOUR VISION = OUR MISSION

You’re different. Defense and civilian government technology environments must collaborate to achieve your desired outcome. Wingbrace knows the contours of your geography – we have the skills to and navigate it for you. With Wingbrace, your vision is our mission.

SUPPORT – INCLUDED

“Launch and leave” is for missiles, not for technical deliveries. When we’re done, we’re not done. Expectation management isn’t a “thing” – it’s ensuring that when we’ve delivered – we support. Without the Wingbrace, the airplane doesn’t fly.

Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business

OUR POINT OF VIEW

Culture

The way an organization thinks permeates every level of every technology project. It kills many technology projects – we embrace and use culture to help achieve adoption and ownership. Yes, culture does eat technology for lunch (and dinner), but the very nature of understanding a client’s culture improves success, quality and efficacy of the outcome.

Design Thinking

The primacy of customer centric design rules the way we think and design our solutions. Design thinking is a kindred spirit to the Agile Manifesto that started the push for a different and better way to build great software. Customer-centric says easy – does hard. We focus on the issues in the design thinking phase of our development that kill most projects: culture, advocacy, and adoption. Our sensitivity to these issues and the overriding objective of better outcomes means we inhabit the client – and their stakeholders – before we begin development.

DIGITAL ENGINEERING - WAMP

Wingbrace Agile Model-Based Systems Engineering Process (WAMP) is our version of Agile applied to MBSE. Move fast, understand the backlog, lather, rinse, repeat. We embrace many of the principles of design-think during WAMP.

Key benefits of WAMP include the number of opportunities for engagement--collaborative gap analysis, operational value prioritization, daily status and impediment escalations, definition of done for frequent reviews, and three levels of AARs. Optimized for change, WAMP maximizes on-going customer interface, coordination, planning and support to ensure the right services and products are satisfactorily delivered.

WAMP is founded in Agile, and drives to validation all architectural activities and products in much the same way as Agile drives better and more efficient software systems. The MBSE framework of WAMP validates artifacts and puts analytics at the forefront of data management.

WHAT WE DO

  • Digital Engineering
The use of software and simulation to more accurately model systems and services for modernization, integration and development – Wingbrace is working in some of the most challenging digital environments, improving outcomes for our clients.
  • C2 Integration
With over 25 years of C2 software integration experience, Wingbrace has covered the spectrum of DoD systems as both user and engineer. Superior advances in integration technologies, such as Mulesoft and Boomi, have changed the integration landscape over the last 20 years, enabling rapid integration and solution deployment in ways not possible in prior years, and Wingbrace provides the expertise to exploit these technologies.
  • Agile Delivery
Agile methods are not new. In fact, the Wingbrace leadership team pioneered several of the first successful, distributed agile programs for the DoD. As constant learners, backed by several certifications, our Agile delivery teams apply the best-fit Agile methods to balance changing needs of end users with regulated acquisition processes.
  • DevOps
In the 21st century, maximizing automation throughout the development and deployment pipeline is a minimum best practice. Ensuring that the automation includes security vulnerability detection and hardening makes DevOps available to DoD clients to ensure that maximum agility does not come at the expense of being secure.
  • Cloud Engineering
We understand that not all aspects of DoD work can use cloud capabilities. But for those that can, we have cloud architects and data analysts that know how to take advantage of dynamic scaling and on-demand pay-as-you-go optimization of the cloud, freeing up information hidden in the organizational data by creating data lakes and warehouses.
  • Modeling and Simulation
Wingbrace has designed, delivered and supported many modeling and simulations systems – and have trained thousands of warfighters – improving readiness while reducing cost. Live, virtual and constructive simulation environments can rapidly give personnel experience in new scenarios, working across services with new tactics to improve efficiency and mission readiness.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT WE VALUE

To win on the battlefield, you have to be great at software. To ensure you’ve got the best solutions for citizens, you have to be great at software. Being great at software is a prerequisite for superior performance across all sectors of defense and public service.

Wingbrace is software and technical services company with focus on the delivery of outcomes for our clients. Whether it be the rapid development of software, the architecture, modeling and simulation of complex systems, training warfighters, or the use of machine learning to analyze and speed results, we are focused on the outcome.

Our culture is imbued with a respect for and the power of good people. Innovation, execution and thoughtfulness are requirements for every employee. Collaboration, contribution, and growth opportunities are encouraged. Wingbrace is a young company – we move fast and value flexibility. We value a service-before-self mindset for delivering impactful outcomes collaboratively with our partners and clients.

We are software engineers, program managers, system consultants, technology architects, entrepreneurs and former senior government leaders who have a common passion for improving federal and civilian software-intensive systems at speed and scale, while enriching our teams and growing our next generation of leaders.

OUR CHARACTER

Character

Character is formed through the synthesis of your experiences – the lessons you learn as you engage and communicate with the world through time. Throughout our lives, we’ve learned, loved, laughed and identified what works for the place called work that you spend a quarter of your life. People have described our team’s character as genuine, transparent, persistent, innovative, creative, and surprisingly good looking (had to add that). We know how to build a team you can trust, people you can invest in, a collaborative environment where the sum of the parts is always greater than the whole.

Empowerment

We ask you to channel your inner leader consistently. “Be the General”. Command yourself – command your vision – command your client. You are empowered to make decisions that benefit the client. Speak kindly, think integrally about how your words and solutions will be consumed, push the boundaries to go faster more effectively.

Asymmetry

We prefer this statement to “out of the box”. Artful solutions to difficult problems that we encounter with clients require asymmetry – approaching from a different perspective. We consume open source, go deep on the issues of off-the-shelf implementation, think about the business processes and what the client is really trying to accomplish. Driving for outcomes requires asymmetric thinking – and identifying how the human is going to consume and use the solution.

People

Character over qualification, collaboration over heroics, thoughtfulness over toughness. Kindness, creativity, outcomes. As we treat each other, we treat our clients.

Leadership

Clear vision, comprehensive support, engaged to remove obstacles to what makes you fly. Caring – how are you – how are you doing. We’ve seen leaders motivated for self - more than team – and it turned us off.

Trust

Leaning on the team requires trust – in your team members – your leadership – your technology. Most important is that we trust you. We’re a nimble company – that can only happen if we trust you to make the right decisions. We trust you implicitly to act ethically, think as an owner, and care for the customer.

IKIGAI @ WINGBRACE

Ikigai

Great people can work anywhere – and find any challenge they want to. Through persistence, hard work and thoughtful design – any person can overcome any challenge. Creating a compelling team – with a great working environment that radiates our values of kindness, creativity and outcomes is the focus of Ikigai. Ikigai (pronounced “eye-ka-guy”) is, above all else, a lifestyle that strives to balance the spiritual with the practical. These principles of mission, passion, profession and vocation are present in many places in our lives, but working daily at ensuring the balance exists results in a workplace that is worth investing in.

At Wingbrace, the principles of Ikigai mean that on our team you would enjoy technical challenges and identifying artful solutions to problems. Ikigai describes a balance – the balance that you witness in a good conversation with an optimistic and engaging person. The clarity that comes with a job well done – the communion that you feel when your accomplishments are appreciated in the construct of a larger solution to a difficult problem. Ikigai in action is a sense of fulfillment working alongside smart and ‘whole’ people. Communicating and planning becomes synchronous and fluid in ikigai. Support, completeness and a wholistic approach to generating solutions to tasks. An artful solution, an asymmetric approach to a legacy issue, a smile from a client as the dawn of a solution appears. We live ikigai on a daily basis – and we are committed to finding that for our team members and clients.
